In the immortal words of Miley Cyrus, “It’s a party in the U.S.A.”
Hollywood is rejoicing after Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that they have authorized selected theaters to screen The Interview on Christmas Day — the movie’s original release date. The Seth Rogen and James Franco comedy was previously pulled after the studio were threatened with 9/11-like threats from a hacker group called Guardians of Peace reportedly working for North Korea.
On Tuesday, many celebrities took to social media to celebrate the news that the highly controversial film is back on.
The people have spoken! Freedom has prevailed! Sony didn’t give up! The Interview will be shown at theaters willing to play it on Xmas day!

I used to be a man who always insisted on full release. Lately I’ve learned to make do with partial. Long live #TheInterview
