Celebrities have been so busy this week between the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Fashion Week that they’ve all but forgotten to engage in their favorite pastime: Changing up their hair color. Fortunately, actress Camilla Belle and singer Katharine McPhee managed to squeak in some moderately updated looks right under the wire — and we’re bringing you their do updates, as always.

First up is Camilla Belle, who said goodbye to her signature dark do and lightened up her locks with a brassier hue to transition into fall. Though it’s not a major overhaul, we can’t remember a time when she’s made any major color changes, so we definitely did a double take when she came through our photo subscriptions this morning. We loved the bob, we were less sure about the faux bangs, and now we’re split on this new hue — are you loving it? Share below!

Also in the brunette-to-blonde arena, Katharine McPhee (who’s a much more frequent color changer) underwent a minor hue tweak, brightening up her highlights with thicker streaks throughout and adding an allover gloss to lift the look. It gives a very different effect whether she’s outside or inside, which is definitely one way to get people talking.
