According to Variety, Brad Pitt and his Plan B production company have put together one of the hottest casts of the year: Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale and Pitt himself.
… Yes, we’re already drooling.
The film The Big Short is an adaption of a the book The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine, telling the story of the rise of the housing and credit bubble during the 2000s, which led to the financial crisis of 2007-2010.
Though production has yet to commence, we already know the book follows several key people who play a role in creating the disastrous credit catastrophic bubble–roles that will likely be recreated on screen by Pitt, Gosling and Bale.
Pitt is reportedly very adamant about getting this film on the big screen and will likely see success. His Plan B company has already had much affluence in the industry, tackling serious dramas like 12 Years a Slave and Selma–both of which have had award-winning nods.
