This Local News Reporter Just Quit Her Job in the Most Unbelievable Way

Anchorage reporter Charlo Greene’s splashy exit from her job at KTVA has officially gone viral. On Sunday night, Charlo was reporting on a marijuana ballot issue when she revealed that she herself was an activist for legalizing pot: “Everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f*ck it, I quit.” She then walked off the set while the camera cut to a visibly flustered anchor. After her exit, she began posting from the Alaska Cannabis Club’s Twitter account, explaining that she wants to redirect all of her energy to “end a failed drug policy that has ruined to lives of far too many Americans.” She also shared a link to her IndieGoGo page, where she is seeking to raise $5,000 to continued campaigning for legalization. KTVA has since tweeted out an apology for Charlo’s f-word sign off, saying that she “has been terminated.” Charlo’s page on the news station’s website was also completely erased.
