Talk about a close call.
A man armed with scissors has been arrested outside Miley Cyrus’ Los Angeles home.
Fortunately, the 19-year-old singer was not home at the time.
KTLA 5 News reports that the arrest was made early Saturday after the intruder, Jason Luis Rivera, jumped the fence and said he wanted to meet the young star. The intruder was carrying a pair of scissors at the time of his arrest, officials say.
This is not the first time cops have showed up to Cyrus’ home this summer.
In early August, Cyrus was the victim of a “swatting” prank after an anonymous caller told police about a possible home invasion.
According to TMZ, Los Angeles officials sent a chopper and police with weapons before determining that the call was a false alarm.
Saturday’s arrest of Rivera was captured on film by KTLA 5, who also reported that he was arrested for burglary and trespassing, as he was caught behind a locked security gate on Cyrus’ property.
Cyrus, who recently turned heads with her platinum-blond sky-high coif at the MTV Video Music Awards, is currently finishing her fourth studio album, due in 2013.
