Harrison Ford is still in the hospital after the plane he was piloting crashed on a Venice, Calif. golf course on Thursday, (March 5, 2015). Listen to his dramatic emergency call below.
The 72-year-old actor’s publicist, Ina Treciokas, released a statement on what went wrong, and why the plane crashed. Treciokas revealed (via USA Today), “Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which had engine trouble upon take off. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely.”
She went on to add, “He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.”
Ford’s son, Ben Ford, tweeted from the hospital yesterday.
At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man.
