Every once in a while, a celeb/retailer collaboration comes along that is a match made in style heaven. Like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Morrocanoil, for instance, or Miley Cyrus and Jeremy Scott. Now Beyoncé is making another one of those miraculous matches, teaming up with her all-time-fave brand Topshop for a line of “ath-leisure” that’s being developed to hit stores next fall.

Obsessive followers of Beyoncé’s wardrobe know that the woman loves a Topshop piece (she’s in their striped dress above) — and that her idea of a laid-back outfit is a little more memorable than the rest of ours. So it just makes sense that she’d bring her style sensibility to the U.K. company, forming a 50-50 venture called “Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd.,” which will produce an “athletic streetwear brand” set to launch around fall 2015, according to WWD.
“This not a collaboration. This is about building a brand and building a business — a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office,” said Topshop’s owner, Sir Philip Green, in an interview. “When she was in London in February we arranged to get together. We started talking generally about doing something together. We’ve been looking at that [athletic] sector for a while … Based on what she does, how she works out, the conversation got into that category.”

The as-yet-unnamed collaboration will include clothing, footwear and accessories and be designed to be multifunctional (read: you can actually wear it to yoga or just wear it to look like you went to yoga). According to Beyoncé, she will be helping to “create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection” as well as “participate in all aspects of the partnership,” which she says is a natural fit: “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking.”
