Beyoncé and Jay Z had an extra-special movie date on Monday, stepping out in NYC for the premiere of their friend Jake Gyllenhaal‘s new movie, Nightcrawler. The couple didn’t walk the red carpet at the event but were pictured with Jake inside, where Beyoncé kept things casual in a denim-on-denim look. Before posing for photos with his famous friends, Jake joined his Nightcrawler costars, including Bill Paxton and Rene Russo, on the red carpet.
Although it isn’t clear how Jake, Jay Z, and Beyoncé became friends, this isn’t the first time the trio has gotten together; Jake sat with Beyoncé and Jay Z at a Brooklyn Nets game this past Spring, and they were seen chatting and laughing courtside. Just a week after the group’s game date, Jake also made a cameo in Jay Z and Beyoncé’s “Run” video, which announced their On the Run Tour earlier this year.
