Queen Letizia busted out the jewels when she, alongside husband King Felipe VI, hosted a state dinner for Chilean President Michelle Bachelet in Madrid on Wednesday. The new queen wore a black Carolina Herrera gown paired with the Spanish Floral Tiara by Mellerio, one of the Spanish royal family’s favorite tiaras and the same glittery item that Letizia wore to Princess Victoria of Sweden’s wedding back in June 2010. This mark’s President Bachelet’s first public brush with the Spanish royal family since she took office in March. She is currently in Europe to boost trade relations between her country and Spain. Despite the fact that Letizia and Felipe only took over as monarchs in June, they have quite a bit of experience visiting other countries and hosting glittering receptions at their palace.
