We’ll be the first to admit that we’ve got a bit of a girl crush on Mindy Kaling. She’s the complete package: smart, funny, and stylish. Her alter ego, Mindy Lahiri, is no different. In fact, as the third season of Fox’s The Mindy Project has gotten under way, we’ve quickly realized that we’re learning a lot more about creative styling than we expected from the print-mixing, neon-loving Ob/Gyn.
Although it’s pretty clear that the character’s bold sense of style doesn’t fall far from the creator’s tree, we’re giving Dr. Lahiri all the credit for the following style rules. So the next time you are staring at your closet, deliberating over the most crucial of fashion decisions – like, “Can I seriously pull off horizontal stripes?” or “Do I really need another floral-print dress?” – instead ask yourself . . .
