Kate Middleton Nude Photo Scandal: Italian Magazine to Publish ‘Extraordinary’ 26-Page Edition of Royal Vacation Pictures (REPORT)

French magazine Closer isn’t the only one with nude photos of Kate Middleton.

On Saturday, Italian magazine Chi announced that it will also publish topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, in a 26-page special edition that will hit stores on Monday.

“It is a story worth publishing in an extraordinary edition because it shows in a natural light the everyday life of a very famous contemporary young couple in love,” editor-in-chief Alfonso Signorini said in a statement obtained by CNN.

“The fact that they happen to be the future king and queen of England certainly makes it more interesting and current, and in line with today’s concept of monarchy,” he added.

The photos were snapped during the Middleton and Prince William’s recent vacation in Provence, France.

The Italian magazine’s announcement wasn’t the only publication that caught the attention of the royal palace over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Irish Daily Star newspaper published nude photos that were first released by French magazine Closer. The photos appeared in the paper’s Republic of Ireland edition, but not the Northern Ireland or British editions.

“There can be no motivation for this action other than greed,” a spokesperson from St. James’s Palace told CNN.

As for the Italian release, the spokesperson shed little light on whether or not the Duke and Duchess, both 30, will seek more legal action. On Friday, the British royal family sued Closer for its publication of the photos.

“We will not be commenting on potential legal action concerning the alleged intended publication of the photos in Italy save to say that all proportionate responses will be kept under review. Any such publication would serve no purpose other than to cause further, entirely unjustifiable upset to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who were enjoying time alone together in the privacy of a relative’s home,” the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, it was business as usual for the Duke and Duchess on Saturday, as the couple continued their tour of Southeast Asia to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. The pair visited a rainforest in Borneo, where they were fitted with harnesses and hoisted up a giant tree.

A palace spokesperson told People that the royal couple were “feeling upbeat . . . they will not in any way allow what has happened in France to overshadow the tour and their work on behalf of The Queen.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are due in the Solomon Islands on Sunday.
