Now that Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba is back on the market after ending her engagement to boyfriend Jesse Sloan, is she on the prowl for another man?
Celebuzz caught up with the 44-year-old at Los Angeles Confidential‘s annual Pre-Emmys party in Hollywood Thursday night, where the former In Living Color star dished about the recent change in her dating life.
So will Inaba try to find love on the dance floor on the all-star season of Dancing With the Stars?
“No way!” she said. “I think when you date somebody, you can’t judge them on the dance floor. I think that’s a no-no!”
Inaba — a former Fly Girl — did tell us that she was once open to the idea of dating dancers.
“You know I did, because dancers are so in tune to their body and trusting their senses and not thinking so much,” she revealed, before adding, “But I’m open!”
“I’m interested to see what life has in store for me for the next steps in my life and I’m excited,” she continued.
On Sept. 10, Inaba’s rep confirmed to Celebuzz that the DWTS judge and her fiancé of more than a year have called off their engagement.
“They decided early in the summer to break off their engagement and have remained friends,” the spokesperson told Celebuzz.
For now, Inaba is looking forward to a brand new season of Dancing With the Stars, which features winners and contestants from previous seasons competing once again for the grand prize.
“What I think is great about this season is we’re going to have a lot of competition and it’s going to be super competitive,” she gushed about the upcoming season, premiering Monday. “I intend to go in and judge with way higher standards because now they know what they’re doing.”
