Why drink with the peasants when you can drink with people of a certain status?
Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly planning to launch her own private members’ club in the space formerly occupied by porn tycoon Larry Flynt’s famous Hustler store on Los Angeles’ Sunset Blvd.
The actress has quietly purchased the Hollywood property with her business partner, Gary Landesberg, and is working on turning it into an exclusive restaurant and lounge, according to TMZ.
Sources tell the website the venue will be the Hollywood location of London’s trendy Arts Club, which costs $2000 to join and another $2000 in annual membership fees. The Sunset Strip location will be even more expensive.
Landesberg is chairman of the UK’s Arts Club, where Paltrow serves as an investor and board member.
