Avalanna Routh, ‘Mrs. Justin Bieber,’ Dies After Battle With Cancer

Known to millions as Mrs. Justin Bieber, little Avalanna Routh lost her battle with a rare form of brain cancer on Wednesday, her family confirmed via Twitter.

“Our darling Avalanna went to Heaven this morning,” they wrote.

“Oh Avalanna, the brightest star – you took our hearts with you, our greatest Love.”

Bieber “married” the six-year-old — who was diagnosed with the disease in 2009 — after becoming aware that her dying wish was to meet him. The 18-year-old superstar flew Routh and her family out to New York from their home city of Boston, so the pair could have a Valentine’s Day date.

Routh’s brave battle had captured not only Bieber’s heart, but also the attention of a number of other celebrities.

One of the last tweets on her twitter was from Jessica Biel, who wrote to Routh following Biel’s speech at the Stand Up 2 Cancer event on Sept. 11.

“You’re my hero. It was an honor,” Biel tweeted.

Routh had suffered from ATRT, or atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, for half of her life.

Bieber and Routh formed a close bond and, after their Valentine’s Day date — during which the pair even had a mock wedding — Bieber said that meeting her was one of the best moments of his life.

“That was one of the best things I have ever done. She was AWESOME! Feeling really inspired now!” He tweeted.

Bieber has yet to make a comment on the six-year-old’s sad passing; but his fans have already begun to pay tribute to the brave little girl by making #RIP Avalanna the number-one trend on Twitter.

Many fans also wrote farewell messages to Routh on Bieber’s latest performance on Dancing With The Stars.
