Donald Trump may be endorsing Mitt Romney for president this year, but he wasn’t to thrilled with the former Massachusetts governor during the third and final presidential debate Monday.
Celebuzz spoke with Trump exclusively after the face-off and the Celebrity Apprentice host admitted that Romney wasn’t on his A-game that night.
“Mitt could have been stronger and it wasn’t a great debate—from either side,” Trump, 66, told us.
Despite the hick-up, Trump confessed he’s still 100 percent behind Romney come voting day in November.
“He’s a very good businessman who knows how things work. When we have this sort of economic crisis, we need someone who is strong in that area,” he said of why Romney should be the next president.
“He can fix what needs fixing, and that’s a lot,” Trump added.
But unlike Romney’s son Tagg, who made headlines when he told the press that he wanted to punch President Barack Obama during the second presidential debate on Oct. 16, Trump feels no ill will towards the current POTUS.
When asked if he wanted to attack Obama after the debate, Trump bluntly told us, “No.”
The celebrity business magnate endorsed Mitt Romney for president in February, saying: ”It’s my honor, real honor, to endorse Mitt Romney.”
He called Romney “tough” and “smart,” with Trump adding, “he’s not going to continue to allow bad things to happen to this country.”
