Chloë Grace Moretz: Spraining My Knee Won’t Keep Me From Heels

Every girl knows a thing or two about suffering for beauty — whether it’s too-tall heels, a too-tight updo or a dress that requires serious Spanx. But Chloë Grace Moretz, 17, may have us all beat: She showed up to accept her PEOPLE Magazine Award for “Next Generation Star” without the crutches she sported earlier that day to support her knee sprain.

“Usually in show business, they say ‘Break a leg,’” she said as she took the mic. “For me, it’d be more befitting to say ‘Sprain a knee,’ because I can barely walk right now. So, sorry for my graceful entrance!”

Even with a bum knee, Moretz was much more graceful (and better dressed) than we were when we were her age. And she seemed to recognize that, saying, “I’m only 17 years old and I feel like one of the luckiest 17-year-olds in the world right now.”

Moretz — who made our 2014 Best Dressed List — didn’t disappoint in the style department. She sported a favored silhouette (a fit-and-flare mini with a schoolgirl collar) with a surprisingly bold red lip and loose waves. She gave a little edge to her retro look via some ear cuffs and a bold pearl dangler.

Stay tuned for more on her beauty look, and tell us: What kind of pain will you put up with for style? Tell us in the comments!
