Literary icon Joan Didion has just been named the face of Céline’s spring 2015 campaign. Naturally, the debut ad is one of the coolest we’ve seen in a long time.

Didion, 80, poses with her lips pursed in a black turtleneck and oversize sunglasses, her signature silver bob freshly trimmed. She follows in the footsteps of models Daria Werbowy and Natalie Westling and actress Marisa Tomei, who starred in the fall 2014 campaign for the French fashion house.
