As the 72nd annual Golden Globes kicks off awards season in earnest, PEOPLE is on the scene at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles to bring you all the scoop you didn’t see on TV.
From the A-list antics on the red carpet to the champagne-quaffing at the ceremony all the way to the dance floors at the afterparties, PEOPLE is there.
(We’re watching you, Hollywood! Not in a creepy way, though.)
Stay tuned throughout the evening for all the action from behind the scenes of one of Hollywood’s biggest nights.

6:33 p.m.: Kevin Hart and his curvy fiancée, Eniko Parrish, skipped the red carpet and came through the side door. She is in an absolutely gorgeous body-hugging white dress, and Hart is dapper in a black tux with white piping.
6:30 p.m.: Newlyweds Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe are heading into the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton. Bagshawe’s holding on to the train of her green dress, which is ever so slightly soaked on the bottom from the drenched red carpet. Redmayne is sweetly glancing down to see if she needs any help!
6:23 p.m.: It’s not all glitz and glamour behind the scenes! Los Angeles is rarely all that prepared for a rainstorm, hence the brown carpet being rolled out over the mud — decidedly less fancy than the red carpet.
6:03 p.m.: Handheld metal detector probes — the great Hollywood equalizer.
5:56 p.m.: Just because you’ve got to handcuff yourself to an aluminum briefcase in order to guard the Golden Globe winners, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it in style! Where do we get a pair of glittery handcuffs? (For normal reasons?)
5:35 p.m.: And we have our first arrivals — Adrien Grenier, dashing in navy blue, has arrived along with the rest of his Entourage.
5:27 p.m.: After rain delays, the red carpet is officially open! Let the star-gazing commence.
5:00 p.m., red carpet, Beverly Hilton: It rained so heavily in Los Angeles that the carpet is soaked through — not so fun for the ladies in open-toed heels, nor those with silk or brightly colored gowns — but the rain has stopped and the sun is starting to peek out from the clouds. Everyone’s in great spirits, sipping on mini bottles of Moët & Chandon champagne. The entire crowd surrounding the Beverly Hilton is just buzzing with activity while we await the very first celeb arrivals.
