There are a lot of perks to being a royal: Access to gorgeous jewels, people have to curtsy when they meet you, and you have tons of excuses to wear amazing hats. Some royals (like Princess Kate) opt for delicate, beret-inspired numbers with minimal fanfare. Others, like Prince William’s cousin Zara Tindall, choose pieces like the three below.

The daughter of Princess Anne and godmother of Prince George, Tindall (née Phillips), 33, doesn’t hold a royal title at the request of her mother, but the accomplished equestrian does have another honorific: Olympic silver medalist (she competed with Team Great Britain in the London games in 2014).
So while in Australia to serve as the ambassador to their Magic Millions horse races, she represented her fellow royals well with a series of memorable hats, of course. On Friday, she sported an architectural lace piece from Australian milliner Danica Erard (it’s dubbed “the Midnight Madame” and can be rented here) to go with her black-and-white draped dress.

She next wore a pink disc-shaped hat, below, by Australian milliner Danica Erard (see a better look here), and finished her week with a more subdued cobalt straw piece from Aussie hatmakers Christie Millinery, which sells for $625 here.
The new mom is certainly amassing quite the collection to pass down to nearly one-year-old Mia, but we want to hear which is your favorite!
