Whenever a new fashion app comes on the market (which seems to happen every single day), we’re always a little skeptical. Sure, many apps have made our lives so much easier, but those are few and far between. But the minute we heard about Chic Sketch, we knew we had discovered a true game-changer.
Chic Sketch is a fashion app that turns your personal photos into custom fashion illustrations. Once you upload a photo, the image gets sent to a team of illustrators who turn your picture into a runway-ready sketch. The app itself is free (so you can browse other people’s sketches), however each custom illustration will set you back $9.99. Since the illustrations are hand-drawn on tablets, you won’t get the sketch back immediately — it could take minutes, hours or even longer, depending on how many people are ahead of you in the virtual line — but you will get a push notification the minute it’s ready. There is however, an option to expedite your sketch for an additional $4.99.
As of right now you can only get a digital copy of your illustration, but in the future Chic Sketch plans to allow users to print their sketches on other items like stationary.
