HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rush Limbaugh dropped by the “The Jay Leno Show” Thursday night in a highly-anticipated interview.
Taking notice of Limbaugh’s well-publicized weight loss, Leno joked: “Would you attribute your weight gain to liberal portions?”
When matters turned more serious, the conservative host tried to downplay all the attention that always seems to surround him.
“Everybody agrees with me that listens to me,” he said. “I’m not controversial at all … Obama is polarizing … Look at how divided this country is right now.”
Limbaugh and Leno also stepped outside to the racetrack for some laps in the custom Ford Focus built for the show’s celebrity “green car challenge.” Leno noted that the vehicle is saving the environment by not using petroleum.
“It’s not saving the environment,” replied Limbaugh.
