By now it’s old news that Kanye West and Taylor Swift have buried the hatchet. But we didn’t know that they were so tight that she had a front row ticket for his deeply spandex-y fashion show Thursday. As it turns out, though, she was the one A-list face absent from the very star-studded front row.

“She was supposed to be here today. I don’t know what happened,” he told fashion editor (and wedding guest) Andre Leon Talley in a video for Vogue. [Editors’ note: He was smiling, which he doesn’t like to do, so perhaps he was making a joke.] Would he like to see her in the collection? “I’d like to see everybody wearing everything. I’d like to see everyone wearing nothing!” he says.

West followed up his controversial presentation with an outdoor concert (in below-freezing weather) on an N.Y.C. rooftop, but that didn’t stop the stars from coming out in droves. And apparently his excitement from the big fashion event carried him happily through his performance — he made it through without a single rant.
