Want Oscars-Level Glam? We Know How to Get It On Demand

“Sure,” you think, “I too could have amazing nails like Oscar nominees if someone came to my house while I was getting ready.” Well, it’s now as easy as pulling up an app on your phone. And to prove that point, PEOPLE editor Jennifer Garcia Allen (who knows a little something about having to get glammed up for the red carpet — she’s reporting from the Oscars tonight!) did just that for an event last week.

The Glam App, the new on-demand beauty service, founded by actress Cara Santana, who is currently filming season two of Salem, and hair and makeup artist Joey Maalouf (known for his work on Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project), allows users access to hundreds of freelance stylists (hair, makeup and manicurists) in the comfort of their own home in and around the Los Angeles area (and soon nationwide).

On how he and Santana made The Glam App a reality, Maalouf explains, “Cara called me and asked me my thoughts … I thought it was amazing to provide the consumer with celebrity glam,” he told PEOPLE. “And I love creating the opportunity to be a virtual agency for stylists. My ultimate goal for stylists is to build up this great clientele over time without having so much struggle.”

But what Maalouf really loves about the The Glam App is that it’s a great escape for busy women — everywhere. “Not everyone knows how to do their own hair and makeup, but they still want to look great,” he said. “We have so much going on, whether you’re a mom of five who needs to get ready for a night out or booking a photo shoot, but you don’t have the money for full hair and makeup.”

If you live in or around L.A., download The Glam App to start booking your appointment today. And if you don’t live in California, stay tuned as the app will be expanding into cities across the country soon.
