Before we ever saw Marion Cotillard’s dress, we already knew it’d be Dior Couture. The face of Lady Dior, she has been wearing Christian Dior to nearly every red carpet during award season. But we were certain the Oscar-nominated star – known for taking style risks at nearly every turn – would still surprise us in something unexpected or fashion forward. But when she showed up in a simple, albeit gorgeous, white eyelet dress, we were a tad disappointed . . . until she turned around and showed off the most interesting back of a gown we’ve seen in a long time. Unique, yes. But did it hit the mark?
