The Oscars are all about extravagance, but when we saw Julianne Moore arrive in this strapless Chanel dress, we knew we were seeing something extraspecial. The white organza dress was custom-made by designer Karl Lagerfeld and embroidered with 80,000 hand-painted sequins and flowers made of ivory, beige and black organza, tulle, and sequins.
