HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tom Cruise dead rumors have been sweeping the Web in the last 24 hours as the Mission Impossible star became the latest celebrity tied to a death hoax.
One bogus report claimed Cruise committed suicide by jumping off of the Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand. Another said he was pronounced dead after a plumbing accident.
Cruise is actually doing just fine these days. On Wednesday, he and his wife, Katie Holmes, attended the National Movie Awards in London. He also shared the stage recently with the Black Eyes Peas during the band’s London tour stop.
"He rocked out with us and 30,000 people in the O2 Arena," will.i.am told Entertainment Tonight in a joint interview with Cruise. "It was a real surprise."
The Black Eyed Peas recorded the theme song, "Someday," for Cruise’s upcoming movie, Night and Day.
