Basic isn’t a word we’d use to describe anything in Kylie Jenner’s adventurous wardrobe (or any of her sisters’). So it’s no surprise that the 17-year-old star manages to make a style statement even in her gym clothes.

“Basic workout attire,” Kylie sarcastically captioned the above photo on Instagram, wearing a cutout, caged dominatrix-style black top (or maybe a bathing suit?) with spandex and neon workout sneakers. She also had her hair extensions back in and a full-face of makeup on, so we’re assuming she was shooting something or working on an upcoming project. However, Kylie did maintain that she planned to take her new Reeboks out for test run, after she took off all her jewelry. (She was sporting her usual stack of Cartier “Love” bracelets.)

The star is known for posting revealing, candid Instagram posts. For a recent Throwback Thursday photo, she shared a snap of when she was “15 pounds thinner,” showing that she embraces her body.

The star told PEOPLE earlier this year, that when she gets her diploma she hopes to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
“I want to keep doing what I do now,” she said. “I love fashion … I have a lot of interests I’m pursuing.”
