NEW YORK — Dennis Hopper has been released from a New York hospital after being rushed to the emergency room Wednesday with a stomach ailment.
The 73-year-old actor’s manager tells People that Hopper is “now back in his hotel room and feeling much better.”
Hopper fell ill while he was in the city to promote his new Starz television series “Crash,” based on the 2004 Oscar-winning film of the same name. The veteran star was forced to cancel several interviews and appearances, including a visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
“Dennis would like to thank everyone for their will wishes, and he looks forward to getting back to work on ‘Crash,'” his manager said.
During his distinguished career, Hopper has received Oscar nominations for the films “Easy Rider” and “Hoosiers.” Other movie credits include “Apocalypse Now” and “Blue Velvet.”
