The first thing we thought when we saw Kim Kardashian in this embroidered two-piece set: did we just time travel back to the early 2000s? While Kim still showed plenty of cleavage in her formfitting bustier, the matching skirt was draped so that we could only see a small sliver of knee. Seriously? Not even a thigh? Add in the fact that Kim barely showed her midriff, and it doesn’t matter that this design is slightly sheer. It just doesn’t feel very Kim.
Kim stepped out in Paris to promote her Kardashian Beauty hair line, completing the ensemble in question with suede Alexander Wang sandals that complemented the tone of her velvet-embroidered separates quite nicely. But still, there’s something about this look that feels wrong – a bit lackluster, surprisingly dated, and, well, definitely not Kanye approved.
