When a star gets engaged, it’s usually safe to assume two things: 1) The ring will be worth more than your car. 2) It’ll come in the form of a massive, shiny, crystal-clear diamond. And while we can still only venture a guess about the former assumption, we were surprised by the sparkler actress Jennie Garth received from her new fiancé, David Abrams.
So much so that we tracked down a closer look at the unique bauble. We’ll give you a second to sit and stare.

The ring, which Garth debuted while vacationing in Tulum, Mexico, features a round-cut black diamond set atop a thin gold band with a halo of smaller diamonds around it.

“Things just lined up, and I was like, ‘I don’t need it, I don’t want it,’ and there it came,” Garth, 43, told PEOPLE of finding love again with Abrams, whom she met on a blind date. The actress ended her 11-year marriage with ex-husband Peter Facinelli, 41, in 2013.

Since the engagement, Garth and Abrams have been living up the newlywed life, enjoying family outings (like the golfing trip above), and looking all-around adorable in coordinating sporty outfits.
