The 34-year-old actress showed off her updated look last night at the Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch party in N.Y.C. For the occasion, she got her preppy on in one of the designer’s bright teal-and-purple printed dresses. And swapped her signature messy waves for a sleek, curled-under bob — complete with her new fringe.

Back in 2013, when the actress played the adorable Erin Hannon on The Office, Kemper told PEOPLE that she constantly pushes herself to take new style risks. “I think you have to feel comfortable, but you have to go somewhere extra, otherwise you’ll never change. You have to do something different,” she said. Flash forward two years, and it looks like she’s still heeding her own words of wisdom.
Here’s to hoping her bangs stick around in Season 2 of UKS. You know they’d look something fierce pinned back with butterfly clips.
