The Kardashian/Jenner/Wests have had a very busy week of landing just about every major magazine cover on newsstands (to recap: Kendall Jenner’s on GQ and Kayne West’s on Time) and now Kylie Jenner‘s featured in Teen Vogue‘s May issue — and had quite the make-under beauty look for her first solo cover for the magazine. See her minimal makeup-wearing, dreadlocks-sporting, Mad Max-meets-Coachella photoshoot and read on for the fun tidbits she shared, like how long her makeup routine takes, why she’s moving into her own house and who she stalks on Instagram.

For the star who loves to post zillions of perfectly made-up selfies on Instagram (like, every day), it’s not very surprising that her beauty routine motto is go big or go home. “I never really wear makeup unless I need to, because when I do my makeup I like to really do my makeup,” Kylie explains. “So I’m never going to spend just 20 minutes, you know? A good night out is, like, two and a half hours for full makeup, curling hair, whatever.”
And while Kylie usually channels her big sis Kim Kardashian‘s outfits, turns out Kylie wanted to try a blonde hair moment way before Kim’s Paris Fashion Week change-up.
“I haven’t been blonde in a while — I might go lighter for summer,” Kylie told the mag before Kim’s blonde debut. Seeing as she just got over her blue do, maybe the lighter shade is finally next?

The star also spilled news on her decision to move out of mom Kris’s house into her $2.7 million mansion (you know, typical teen starter home). “I’m moving out when I turn 18. I’m ready to live on my own. It’s a really big step, but I’m ready,” Kylie shares. “I wanted a house near my family in a quiet neighborhood with a front yard and a backyard that my dog will like. Also, I have so many shoes, and none of them fit in my old closet.”

And while millions follow her every move on social media, she sticks to tracking her old flames. “I’m not really obsessed with anyone except for the people that I like romantically,” she shares. “I get excited when they post. Sometimes I like to stalk my exes.”
Her Teen Vogue cover issue hits newsstands April 28, but you can get a sneak preview here, and tell us: Are you surprised by her cover look? How long does your makeup routine take? Share in the comments below.
