LOS ANGELES — Lady Gaga has announced her latest road trip, two weeks after a joint tour with Kanye West was abruptly canceled.

The 23-year-old singer will kick off “The Monster Ball” tour on Nov. 27 in Montreal, Canada, with plans to end the 16-date North American run via a two-night stand in January at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

“The Haus of Gaga had been designing ‘The Monster Ball’ for premiere in 2010 at the O2 Arena in London, but due to diligent work and preparation, ‘The Monster Ball’ will begin on November 27 in Montreal,” said Lady Gaga in a statement on her Web site, while describing the tour as “a multimedia artistic experience in the style of the first-ever ‘pop electro opera.'”

Lady Gaga also revealed that “The Fame Monster,” an enhanced re-release of her debut album, will drop on Nov. 23. It will feature a second disc with eight new songs, including “Bad Romance,” which the pop star debuted at the Alexander McQueen show during Paris Fashion Week.

“A message to all my little monsters: ‘The Fame Monster’ will come out four days before the first live show,” said Gaga. “You have exactly 96 hours to learn all of the lyrics so you can sing along. Dress accordingly.”

Rapper Kid Cudi, fresh off the release of his debut album, “Man on the Moon: The End of Day,” will open for Lady Gaga on “The Monster Ball” tour.

Tour promoter Live Nation never provided a reason for the cancellation of the “Fame Kills” tour with West, but Gaga told Billboard it was a “mutual decision.” She also said that West was planning to “take some time off” after he famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at September’s MTV Video Music Awards.
