Melissa Gorga is spilling the beans — on how to make a marriage last.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has just inked a deal with St. Martin’s Press for LOVE, ITALIAN Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage. And she told Celebuzz that one of those secrets lies within the old adage “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
“Food definitely plays into creating and maintaining a happy marriage,” she said on Wednesday. “Every night I make sure there is a home-cooked meal on the table when Joe gets home from work.”
Married for eight years, Gorga and her real estate developer husband are parents to three young children, Antonia, 7, Gino, 5 and Joey, 2.
Since the RHONJ Season 4 finale, the 33-year-old has kept busy with her ongoing music career (she released her fourth single in October), her duties as an ambassador for Voli Light Vodka and penning new pages for her book with collaborator Val Frankel.
But Gorga’s priorities have always involved being at home with her family.
“If you make your husband feel happy and entertained at home, he won’t look to go elsewhere,” the reality TV star said, adding that her husband’s favorite meal is chicken bruschetta.
LOVE, ITALIAN STYLE is scheduled for a Fall 2013 release.
