Adriana Lima, Beyonce, Giuliana Rancic: Quick-Fix Diet Secrets From the Stars

The holiday-filled month of December can be pretty intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

Eat a slice of apple pie, throw some whipped cream on there — splurge! We have some quick-fix diet secrets straight from Hollywood, so you can eat those Christmas confectionaries without feeling guilty.

One celeb fad is to go on a strict liquid diet. Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima gears up for the annual V.S. Fashion Show by eliminating solid foods for 9 days before she struts down the catwalk  – mainly consisting of protein shakes to keep her figure long and lean.

But that’s not your only option for a crash diet.

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar snacks on low-calorie cabbage soup for seven days to kick start her weight loss plan. This doesn’t challenge her taste buds, but at least she can eat as much as she wants and still manage to knock off the pounds.

One of the most extreme detox diets is the Master Cleanse, drinking only a concoction of hot water, lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper for 10 days — plus a laxative tea each night. Beyonce dropped 20 pounds for her role in Dreamgirls by adhering to this fast, but it’s definitely not easy.

“I was cranky,” the singer admitted to Oprah about the lemonade diet.

The Ultimate Tea Diet is another popular regime to follow, and the 14-day plan includes solid foods. Giuliana Rancic toned up for her 2007 wedding on the diet, drinking multiple cups of tea each day, in addition to eating three light meals.

Rancic is in the minority with her solid food options, because liquids seem to be the easiest way to go. Even Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr swears by the Blueprint Cleanse — a 1200 calorie a day diet that consists of 6 juice-base drinks a day for 3 days.
