Parents-to-be Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum are looking forward to their best Christmas ever now that the 32-year-old actress is pregnant with their first child.
And the happy Hollywood couple doesn’t care if they have a boy or a girl, just as long as the baby is fit and healthy, a source close to the family has revealed to Celebuzz.
The American Horror Story: Asylum actress is is having mixed emotions as she comes to terms with her new parental role.
“They are both ecstatic — it is the perfect Christmas gift and it will make this year’s holidays very special,” the insider revealed to Celebuzz.
And whether the former Step Up co-stars are having a boy or a girl is still up in the air.
“Jenna and Tatum don’t know if it is a boy or a girl yet and they’re still getting used to her being pregnant,” added the source. “But they are totally excited and they do not care about the sex of the baby just as long as he or she is fit and healthy.”
The couple only announced the pregnancy a few days ago with Dewan spotted out and about running errands in Los Angeles Dec. 19, looking like a stylish mom-to-be in hot pink t-shirt and hoodie with comfortable leggings matched with ballet pumps.
It’s unknown how far along The Playboy Club star is, but she’s now showing a slight baby bump and so far the pregnancy has not slowed her down.
“She is doing well, she is fit and strong. Both Channing and Jenna always wanted to have kids, so they are delighted that she is pregnant. If it was a surprise, then it was a welcome one.
“All their family and friends are delighted for them and it was great news especially at this time of year,” the insider added.
The Magic Mike star admitted in a recent interview with PEOPLE that the couple were ready to start a family and they had not ruled out having a lot of kids.
He revealed that three kids might be the perfect number, but added that he had joked with his wife about having 15 — but he knew that idea wouldn’t go down too well: “It’s really easy for us guys to say, ‘I want like 15 kids. Jenna will be like, ‘Well you better get another wife!’” he said.
The happy couple originally met in 2006 on the set of Step Up before Channing popped the question in September 2008 while on vacation in Hawaii. They sealed their love by getting married on the grounds of church Estates Vineyards in California in July 2009.
