NEW YORK — While his wedding day with Beyoncé Knowles may have been top secret, Jay-Z isn’t keeping such a tight lid on the couple’s baby plans.
The 38-year-old hip-hop mogul attended Wednesday night’s U.N. Global Leadership Awards Gala in New York City, where he told reporters he’s looking forward to starting a family.
“Most people dream of having a family someday,” said Jay-Z. “So I’m just a regular American boy.”
Jay-Z and Knowles tied the knot on April 4. The couple’s private ceremony was followed by a lavish party at Jay-Z’s Tribeca apartment. Among those attending were Knowles’ mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, and her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Other guests included the couple’s friends, Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
Jay-Z and the 27-year-old Knowles have been together since 2002.
