HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ashley Tisdale says anyone interested in dating her better have a healthy dose of self-esteem.
“I’m always surrounded by good-looking guys, like Zac Efron,” the 23-year-old star reveals in the latest issue of Seventeen magazine. “So I have to be with someone who’s not going to get jealous about any of that, or when I’m kissing somebody in a scene.”

“I’m always surrounded by good-looking guys, like Zac Efron,” the 23-year-old star reveals in the latest issue of Seventeen magazine. “So I have to be with someone who’s not going to get jealous about any of that, or when I’m kissing somebody in a scene.”
It might also help that those prospective males have some self-confidence since the “High School Musical” star was recently ranked sixth on the Forbes Hollywood Top-Paid Tweens list.
As for her relationship with Efron, Tisdale says she’s extremely thankful to have her “High School Musical” co-star in her life.
“I’ve never been attracted to Zac, and he’s never been attracted to me — which is even more amazing! Ha! He always says I look hot, and I’m like, ‘Aw, thanks Zac,’ ” she says.
“But really, it’s more like siblings than a flirty relationship — he’s seriously like my brother,” adds Tisdale.
The pair have know each other for years and were friends long before “High School Musical” turned them into superstars. Tisdale says she’s thankful to have Efron as someone she can lean on at times.
“He’s so funny, and you can just chill and hang out with him,” she says.
“It’s cool to have someone who’s completely honest with you, who can give you a guy’s opinion,” adds the young star. “And if I have a problem, I know I can call him whenever.”
