HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Singer Adrienne Bailon is planning to take legal action after semi-nude photos of the Cheetah Girl managed to surface online.
In the photos, the Disney star is seen naked from the waist down wearing just a brassiere.
“It’s not a scenario where she purposedly leaked the photos for attention,” her rep told the New York Daily News on Monday. “We’re pursuing legal action.”
The 25-year-old Bailon reportedly had her laptop stolen from her luggage cart at New York’s JFK Airport last week. According to the Daily News, the laptop was later returned in a matter of hours by someone demanding $1,000. Unfortunately, when a member of Bailon’s family made the exchange on her behalf, they failed to get the individual’s identification.
“They didn’t really want to question it further,” Jaxson explained to the paper.
Within a matter of days, the semi-nude pictures intended for Bailon’s longtime boyfriend, Robert Kardashian, had made their way online.
Bailon, who is currently on tour with her fellow Cheetah Girl bandmates, is said to be “absolutely distraught” over the incident.
Disney, which has dealt with naked and semi-nude photo scandals in recent time involving stars Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus, has yet to comment.
