BrandyHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brandy says life changed in a flash when she was involved in a car crash that resulted in the death of another driver.

“It was a situation that changed my life forever,” she tells Access Hollywood of the December 2006 accident. “I will never be the same.”

Awatef Aboudihaj was killed when the 29-year-old star’s Land Rover struck his Toyota from behind on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles.

“It was pretty bad,” she recalls of the accident. “There were parts flying and there was a bunch of smoke.”

Brandy is now facing a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit brought on by Aboudihaj’s family  — a trial scheduled to begin in April. The former “Moesha” star, who was not charged in the crash, says the media started pointing fingers at her immediately without doing their homework.

“I just feel like a lot of people jumped on it because it was something to talk about,” she told Access. “And instead of just waiting to see what really happened, they kind of make their own story about it and started pointing the finger and blaming.”

Brandy says her new album, “Human,” which is set to drop on Dec. 9, is a reminder that behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood is an everyday girl.

“One of the reasons why this album is titled ‘Human’ is because people forget that when you are seen everywhere, they forget that you are a human being at the end of the day,” she admits to Access. “I just sing. And you may be familiar with my face, but at the end of the day, if you cut me, I’ll bleed.”
