Beverly Hills police spokesman Lt. Tony Lee told AP that “suspicious activity” had taken place at the location and time of the shooting, but did not elaborate further.
Ruffalo, 41, garnered critical-acclaim as the aimless drifter brother Terry in Kenneth Lonergan’s 2000 Academy Award-nominated film, “You Can Count on Me.” Other notable films for Ruffalo include “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “Collateral,” “Zodiac” and “Revolutionary Road.”
