The Emmy-winning producer has cast English actress Charity Wakefield in the lead role of his new NBC series, “Legally Mad,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the legal drama, Wakefield, 27, will star as Brady Hamm, a twentysomething woman who goes to work at her father’s law firm and soon becomes the center of attention.

She will be joined on the series by Jon Seda and the previously cast Kristin Chenoweth.
Wakefield studied acting at the Oxford School of Drama and landed her first major role last year, starring in the BBC’s latest adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility.”
