Celebrity Bits: Anne Hathaway’s New Boyfriend

Anne Hathaway is no longer keeping her budding relationship with Adam Shulman under wraps, having brought the actor to Tuesday night’s Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards. In the event their romance fails, Hathaway can turn to comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who offered up her matchmaking services when the actress appeared on her talk show Thursday.

“If you need someone, I will find you a boyfriend. I’m really good at it,” offered DeGeneres.

“Did you see how nervous I just got?” replied Hathaway.

“You don’t even have to date. You can go straight to commitment,” DeGeneres responded.

“At this point I would just like him to be law abiding,” said Hathaway, in reference to her ex, Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri, who was arrested last summer on charges of fraud and money laundering.

Despite the end of her seven-year marriage to rocker Chris Robinson in 2007, Kate Hudson is open to finding true love again.

“Who knows if I will get married again? I wouldn’t rule it out though,” she told OK! magazine at the premiere of her conveniently-titled new film, “Bride Wars.”

What is certain is the 29-year-old actress won’t spend a lot of time planning a splashy wedding affair should she wed again.

“It gets so screwed up because you’re dealing with two families, you’re dealing with your parents — some parents try to stay out of it, but they always have to have their word,” Hudson told reporters. “You’re in an awkward position. It’s like a movie premiere. It’s a big production.

“I would elope and then have a party.”

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo totaled his Ferrari Thursday morning when he crashed into a barrier while driving inside a tunnel near Manchester Airport.

Authorities told the BBC that the Manchester United star was “fortunate” to escape without injury.

A spokesman for Manchester United said, “He’s fine and is training as normal with the team this morning.”

A breathalyzer test given to Ronaldo came up negative.

At the time of the crash, his teammate, Edwin van der Sar, was following close behind in a Bentley.

One witness said he was “shocked” by what he saw.

“The Ferrari went straight into the wall, his front left-hand wheel came off and then Ronaldo got out of the car,” he said.

“I was shocked. Anyway he was all right, he was walking — he was a bit shaken.”

“Obviously I was stunned at seeing a Ferrari go in the wall and seeing Ronaldo,” added the eyewitness.

“He was obviously shaken — who wouldn’t be? — but it’s a shame about the car as well.”
