Celebrity Bits: Jennifer Love Hewitt Lands Restraining Order, Stars Lined Up for Obama Inauguration

Jennifer Love Hewitt has received a restraining order to protect her from an alleged stalker.

According to court papers obtained by Access Hollywood, the actress was granted a three-year restraining order against David Nolte, who was ordered not to “harass, attack, strike, threaten [or] assault” Hewitt or contact her in any way.

The “Ghost Whisperer” star recently called off her engagement to actor Ross McCall.


The stars are lining up for Sunday’s inaugural celebration for President-elect Barack Obama at the Lincoln Memorial.

The event will feature some of the biggest names in music, with Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Usher, Shakira, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, James Taylor and U2’s Bono among the singers slated to perform.

Other performers will include Stevie Wonder, Renee Fleming, Garth Brooks, Mary J. Blige, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, John Legend and Jennifer Nettles.

In addition, celebs including Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington are expected to read historic passages at the event, which will be televised by HBO at 7 p.m. EST.
