Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner tells the mag that the “Home Alone” star’s old sister was “more than likely impaired due to alcohol” at the time of the late-night accident.

Culkin was reportedly at a Marina Del Rey bar just prior to the crash. She had recently been seeking therapy for alcohol addiction, the family told investigators, according to Corral.

Culkin was one of seven siblings in the showbiz family. She had recently worked as an art production assistant on the upcoming feature film “Lost Soul.”

“She was a real sweetheart and excited to learn all she could about the film business,” the film’s director, Dana Schroeder, told E! News shortly after her death.
