LOS ANGELES — While she doesn’t possess any fangs, Sandra Bullock still managed to win big at Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Bullock won for favorite movie actress and her film, The Proposal, captured favorite comedy movie honors at the 36th annual event, in which fans selects the winners in categories spanning TV, movies and music.
“I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good,” joked the 45-year-old actress during her acceptance speech. “Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter.”
The rest of the night was seemingly dominated by vampires. The Twilight Saga picked up four trophies, including favorite movie, franchise and on-screen team for stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
HBO’s True Blood and the CW’s The Vampire Diaries also picked up trophies, winning favorite TV obsession and favorite new TV drama, respectively.
Queen Latifah hosted the event, held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, for the fourth consecutive year.
