The 57-year-old actor and comedian said he is canceling several Florida performances of his one-man comedy show, “Weapons of Self-Destruction,” after he recently experienced shortness of breath. Williams said that his doctors have recommended a week of rest.

The Miami Herald reports that Williams was hospitalized with heart trouble Wednesday in South Florida.

Williams was scheduled to perform Wednesday and Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida; Friday at the UFC Arena in Orlando; and Saturday at the Sundome in Tampa.

The four canceled shows will be rescheduled, and tickets for those performances will be honored when the new dates are announced in the near future.

Williams said he plans to continue his 80-city comedy tour on Monday in Jacksonville.
