Williams had canceled four shows in Florida this week after experiencing shortness of breath. He was scheduled to perform Wednesday and Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida; Friday at the UFC Arena in Orlando; and Saturday at the Sundome in Tampa.
Williams has been in the midst of his 80-city “Weapons of Self-Destruction” comedy tour since last September. He said that the tour will most likely resume in the fall.
“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes,” Williams said in a statement. “This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
