HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Charlie Sheen’s infant son Max has joined his twin brother Bob at home.
The actor’s newborn baby has been released from the hospital after birth-related weight issues kept him under medical care since being born on March 14.
“Max made weight and went home,” Sheen’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, confirmed Tuesday to People. “It’s frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you.”
The 43-year-old Sheen attempted to lighten the mood last week after ETOnline.com reported that Max was suffering from a heart condition.
“The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term,” he said. “I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food; I just didn’t realize that they started so young.”
With “Two and a Half Men” about to go on hiatus, Rosenfield said Sheen and his wife, Brooke, are looking forward to some quality time at home with their first children together.
Sheen also has three daughters from prior relationships: 24-year-old Cassandra with his former girlfriend Paula Profitt, as well as Sam, 5, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards.
