Mark your calendars: Jay Leno is set to hang up his Tonight Show shoes on Feb. 6, 2014, Deadline is reporting.
The show’s executive producer Debbie Vickers announced the date on Friday, along with confirmation that employees will be paid through the end of September 2014.
The announcement comes some four months after NBC officially named Jimmy Fallon as the Tonight Show’s new host. Fallon, who will hand over Late Night duties to Seth Meyers next year, is set to begin his Tonight Show run some time after the Winter Olympics, which concludes Feb. 23.
Leno’s interview with President Barack Obama on Tuesday’s Tonight Show episode gave the show its highest ratings in nine months, according to the Los Angeles Times. Nine months ago, Leno’s guest of honor was — you guessed it — Barack Obama. Watch the October 2012 interview below.
